Popped and poured; consumed over two days. This bottle was served with pasta and marinara on the first night and it managed to fill the role but it didn’t impress, nor did it really strike me as something from Chianti Classico. It was well endowed with ripe red fruits but in a more confected sort of way and lacked structure which made come across a little flabby. Day 2 didn’t improve the situation. Probably a wine geared for a different palate.

So refreshing and sweet, and consistent throughout the whole bottle. Initially thought it was a Rioja from Spain in a blind test but pleasantly surprised that it's a chianti. Beautiful wine
