I find the 2012 is holding up well. Earthiness to the nose but the initial flavor burst is rich cherries. Stayed on the palate. Might deserve a higher rating but I rarely drink more expensive Chianti so lack a comparable. Lovely with an English cheddar on a rainy early Fall evening.

Sep 28th, 2020Delicious. Tannins soft but not flabby, beautiful nose of red berries. Just enough tartness to balance the fruit. Lovely with turkey meatballs and Norwegian cranberry sauce.

Rust colored purple. I get s little earthiness on the nose. The dominant flavors are cherry syrup and some iodine. Drinking nicely now but I’m not sure how much longer I’d hold this one.
