May 7th, 2021Funky low-sulphur Ruche, with eucalyptus raspberry, upfront and in your face. VOCs blow off after a few minutes. Natty? Perhaps a bit, but not overly so. 11% ABV is a big win.

Natural wine is fun because it shows the life of a wine. The soul is there, the imperfections are there. It shows the character of the grape, the knowledge of the winemaker, and an older expression of how wines were once made. This wine shows that. Fun, hot, has personality and expressiveness. I have another in the cellar to see how the bottles mellows and settles in.

Prunes on the nose with big flavor, lots of raspberry. Mild VA and Brett. Would pair really nice with beef dishes.
