Léon Barolo Nebbiolo

Presently I am dealing with sneezing and nasal congestion from a cold my youngest gifted me. I am not able to properly provide tasting notes, but can assess the the nose includes the traditional tar and roses, and the palate seems well balanced. Tannins seem integrated as well. I'm guessing that this would be somewhere between an 89-92 so we will call it 91.

A lot in that name.

One day when I am able, I hopefully will drink this often.

Another "new" wine from a producer I know well.

Bright ripe fruit with black pepper spice.

Glad to see that winemaking trend is going towards more approachable while it doesn’t have to sit inside the bottle for more than a decade or so! Medium body, dry. Greatly integrated oak note with cherry on the palate. Paired well with a steak dinner.

Marasque cherry, leather and roses.

Seems mellowed, round tannins and delicate fruit.

Sold on the aroma. True old world wine with full body, tannins, and notes of tobacco and blackberry
