The nose will punch you in the face with black cherry and mushroom, I could smell this wine all day. Take a gulp and you'll taste a tannic tightness, a full body and just a medium complexity. The wine is pretty good but is probably best suited to be poured into one of those spray gun fans just so you can get that great nose all day and not get hammered drinking a 15% alcohol wine that's just OK.

Ruby with brown rim. Pronounced aromas of mushrooms, underbrush leaves, currant, licorice, botanicals, soy, bay leaf. Medium finish. Good alpine style wine but would have been better 5 years ago. Pair with ribeye, parmigiana pasta, game meat stew.
