Exactly what you expect from a quality producer in Piedmont. Heavily perfume on the nose. Sour cherry, leather, tobacco, vanilla, wood. The palate shows grippy tannins without being overly drying, so it’s perfect with a meal, but also fine by itself. This wine is in a very good place. Showing some age, but definitely has a long life ahead with proper care. Just...*chef’s kiss*

Tar, almonds, marzipan, prunes and kirsch on the nose. Alcohol is still present on the palate, however the tannins have started to soften. Long, savoury finish with notes of licorice and leather. Colour is a beautifully clear brick red. Drink now or keep for 5-10 years.
