Casas del Toqui
Gran Toqui Cachapoal Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Dark ruby color. Aromas of blue and black fruit, forest floor and leather. Ripe black cherry and dark plum in the palate with additional hints of dark chocolate, roasted poblano pepper, dried herbs, tobacco and baking spices. Touch of minerality on the long and lingering finish. Full bodied, bold and chewy. Thanks for opening, Ron B!

Oct 12th, 2024Tasted this about 3 years ago, and not much has changed. Blackberry, ripe plum, autumn leaves, cocoa, thyme, and whiff of mint. Medium to full body. Still has good fruit intensity. Bitter sweet integrated tannins. Superb value.
The Cachapoal Valley lies about 100 km south of Santiago, with Maipo Valley to the north and Colchagua to the south.

Sep 17th, 2022A friend brought this for me to try. I had their Leyenda bottling before, and loved it. This is equally impressive. Slightly ripe black fruits core with lots of earthy elements. Beautiful round acidity and very polished tannins.
I could not believe this only cost about $15.00!
