Simple and earthy with muted tart fruit. Medium in body. Good balance. For price, a nice everyday red that'd be a good sub for a Cotes du Rhone.

Jan 4th, 2017Another solid vintage of this four grape (30% Touriga Franca, 30% Trincadeira, 25% Syrah, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon) Red. I like the fact that the blend includes both native Portuguese grapes and a few French varietals. Aromas of Ripe red fruit, plums and baking spices. Red berry, dark chocolate and vanilla flavors. Only 4 months in oak barriques, so tannins are light and bright fruit shows through. Touch of tartness on the long finish. Well balanced and nicely structured.

Sep 12th, 2020Four grape Portuguese blend, which include 40% vinefera grapes. (Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon). Cherry, violets and menthol on the nose, and chocolate covered cherry on the pallet. Very pleasant and decent value.
