More sophisticated than a typical Nero D'Avola, perricone has that same cozy, soft mouthfeel. Broader attack of baked cherries & air picks up the more recessed acid, & fleshes out the mid palate. Very appealing, is a friendly, golden retriever kinda wine....

Dark ruby, opaque, edged with fine rusty brim. Mulberry, black rasberry, some meaty aromas in the nose. Wine with a good backbone but a bit rough tannins responsible for distinctly dry mouthfeel. Quite unusual wine made from ancient variety, usually blended but not this time.
