The flavors here are really good but the wine was a little thin and lacked a silky mouthfeel which I prefer. This was my first Carter and having heard so much about these wines I was a little let down. I also was overly excited to try this given Maybach sources from the same vineyard (which set my expectations even higher).

Another terrific Deer Valley ski trip wine. Even the shitty stemware at the rental condo couldn’t hold this wine back.

Very nice, but maybe not quite the depth I was expecting. But that’s more a problem with my expectations than with the wine.
