2016v. Juicy lemon with a little sweet tropical guava and mango fruit on the finish. Good acidity and citrus tang. Use of French oak adds just a bit of spice and enough body to provide a little weight in the mouth. This is NOT a creamy/buttery California chard. Alcohol is apparent at 13.7%, but is not way off balance. A crowd pleasing wine at $15 that pairs well with food (I had it with fish and various cheeses) but is interesting enough to sip on its own.
