Deep ruby. Nose and medium-full palate of boysenberry, vanilla cassis, and dark rose. Fruit forward, but darker fruit and definitely not a “fruit bomb.” Medium minus acidity. Medium minus tannins. Classic Chilean style Cab with good fruit, but still enough earthy and herby characteristics to make for a nice all-around red. Great with grilled meats or hard cheeses. Drink now through 2027.

Color of dull ruby with a touch of brown and purple gray. Nose of spice, dark berries and dark cherry, currants, cherry jam, coke, medicinal note, violet, a bit carbonates note, and a bit burning in the nasal cavity. Taste of ample acidity, vanilla, currants, savory spice, a bit peppery, a bit zest, refined yet solid tannins, and good alcohol strength. Aftertaste is medium with more sweetness and zest note. Pretty good.

A new addition to my Total Wine under $20 program. Certainly not a 97 pointer like Decanter gave it but good enough to add to the rotation.

Must decanter. Better second day. Good body. Tannins thru the finish.

Ruby hue with high saturation. Aromas and flavors of blackberry, coffee, dark chocolate, earthy, leather, licorice, oak, raspberry, and smoke. Full body; full, rich, and firm tannins; and high acidity. Rich, complex nose and palate; and a long, smooth, brooding finish. Needs time to open up and round out, but well worth the wait.

Delicious dark berries and one hell of a value.
