Carmen Stevens is, quite profoundly, the first black woman to graduate from a winemaking program in South Africa. Her Angel's Reserve Chenin Blanc 2013 (Wellington, Western Cape) proves that she learned her lessons well. Exquisitely clean, dry flavors of tangy citrus and guava blossom, refreshing creamy forepalate, crisp acid midpalate, and richly prolonged finish suits this #wine superbly for dishes featuring whitefish or chicken. Like Carmen herself, this wine is 'choty goty'! Received as a sample from @nakedwines.

Just starting to drink white wines so bear with me on the description! This one is slightly more yellow in color than the last wine I had I guess it's a full body wine. It's not too dry but definitely gets my taste buds going! So far it's enjoyable.

Sophisticated and polished, this delightful Chenin Blanc is full of jasmine tea, honey, and apricots, with a lingering touch of lime to the finish. The mouthfeel is creamy and refreshing with some thickness making it an amazing cocktail wine, but it proved a perfect pairing to a plate of Pescado Veracruz.
