Carmel Road
Monterey County Pinot Noir

Earthy, sweet, and a bit fruity nose. Wine goes down great. Smooth, berry fruit on the palate, a bit of spice too. Finish is pleasant, does not linger. I like this Pinot for the price. I paired it with salmon and white beans, and it tasted amazing.

Apr 14th, 2013Good bottle when you're missing the typical Cali Pinot. Ripe fruit, balanced alcohol and acidity. Missing the subtleties of a more delicate Pinot Noir. A little woodsy, sage, and blackberry on the nose. Spicy on the palate, full-bodied, still balanced, nice tannin.

Pretty strong flavor. Not as smooth as I'd expect but not bad after the first couple sips
