Bright ruby. Beautiful on the nose, purple flowers, juicy black cherries, and Cola. A whopping 14.8% abv. Integrated tannins and bright (medium plus) acidity.

Kind of an opaque cranberry color. On the nose I picked up cherries and strawberries. On the palate it's a tad bitter. The whole reason I drink Pinot Noir is for the soft fruits in the background. I couldn't find any discernible fruit in this wine. For $25.00 it was a flop. In the review section, no one on this site had anything to say about this vintage?!? That should have been my hint. It's wet, and Red, with alcohol.

2012 Carlton Cellars Seven Devils Pinot Noir. Nice earthy notes with some dark cherries on the nose. Nice and smooth over the tip of the tongue. A little burning pepper action mid palate and on the finish. Lots of dark cherries swirling around with a bigger mouth feel than a delicate Pinot.

Very light color and body, lovely fruit and acidity.

2012 Carlton Cellars Seven Devils Pinot Noir. Very jammy on the nose. This Pinot is very fruit forward on the palate. Want a Pinot without the earthiness? This is the one!

My palate was wrecked before I drank this, but did not find much in this wine that I enjoyed.

Not impressed; for an Oregon Pinot noir it is rather sweet and lacks character. For $27, it does not deliver.
