The nose is oaky but smells like French oak, with a tiny bit of vanilla. There are other aromas of black currant and spices. The palate is quite long and wide, with black currant notes, again some spices. A good width, some matter on the sides, a lively mouthfeel, some tannins in the rear and a tiny bitter touch that pops and shows consistently throughout the finish. It's still young, it's an oaky style, but it's well done.
