Can’t speak for the “modern style” here. Berry and spice nose, modest and unassuming, front of mouth mouthfeel, not too tannic going down. We paired it with pizza but it would go well with pasta with meat sauce.

Did not care for this. Not bad but not at all typical of a Rosso di montalcino. Atypical is ok but this was a fine wine but really uninteresting and a little one dimensional.
