Carlisle Winery & Vineyards
Sonoma County Syrah
Good fruit and oak balance. Decanted. Liked the wine a little better before the decant.

Oct 9th, 2018Solid, but very young. Better on day 2. Interesting to see this under screwcap now.

Jul 10th, 2016The basic syrah offering from Mike Officer provides so much value. Don't love as much as the 13 but this is always amazing for the price.

Jan 31st, 2018Inky, purple color. Sticky. Lots of blackberry fruit up front, backed up by mounds of pepper, dark chocolate, and loam. Massive, but with a velvety finish. A powerhouse with finesse. Huge QPR. If you're lucky enough to have it, that is. Small demerit for the screw cap. I know, I know. But I'm a traditionalist.
