Hails from a vineyard planted 123 years ago in Russian River AVA. Intoxicating aroma of boysenberry, vanilla and black pepper. Intense dark fruit flavors and the prototypical Carlisle finish. Still going! 300 case production.

Makes my knees weak. Young and slightly chewy at first sip, with luscious boysenberry fruit. Better second day and will improve at minimum 3-5 years

Funky Zinfandel block that has 13-15% Tinturier varieties, like Alicante Bousche, Amaron, Petit Bousche.
Classic Russian River style, lotta pepper and razz, acidity is really the framework of the mouthfeel, best of the Carlisles tasted tonight. Higher alcohol. Still needs 2 years.
