Ten days before Christmas, a rare 50°F day in Michigan and a ribeye on the grill. Occurrences like that call for a special bottle. The opaque red/purple'07 Carlisle Syrah 'James Berry Vyd.' definitely filled the bill. Huge explosive aromas of black raspberry, cinnamon, incense and smoky minerals followed by an expansive palate of blackberry liqueur flavors. This full-bodied, elegant and fully-balanced wine is at its absolute apex. It's a beautiful day!
