2014. Berries and olives and spice and menthol. Starts to flesh out and open about an hour in. Sleek. Youthful. Soft tannins and pleasing acid. Hides its 15.1% abv very well. Balanced and increasingly opulent. Remarkable for an appellation wine. A fun treat. Great with grilled ribeyes tonight.

Hot. That’s my primary note. Even after two hours open this remained an alcohol bomb. 15.5% and you taste every drop. Red fruit, bramble, pretty deep and good length. Hard to drink now. Wait 3-4 years.
