Another beauty. This is built to last a long time but is already drinking nicely with a couple hours air. High toned zin with nice roundness added by the mourvedre. It’s an impeccably balanced wine though definitely not a wimpy one.

Jul 30th, 2018A winemaker and vineyard I have the utmost respect for, but at 15.5% it just had nowhere to hide. Sadly this shows hot now matter how much you decant or how cold you serve it and I tried everything. It’s a shame because down below there is great fruit and acidity and it will continue to gain complexity over time, unfortunately it’s just always going to be high octane.

Dense. Took a bit to open, but still provided the expected “Carlisleresult” - great, chewy zin. Prob ok for another 5-7yrs.
