The Monet block is so different from the Pommard block of the same vintage. This wine has much deeper color but much less fruit. Tannins are very pronounced and need more time to tame and hopefully there will be enough fruit to reach balance.

Light ruby wine with great fruit. Tastes of cherries and rhubarb. Nice tartness . Tannins are very soft. Very good drinking wine. This wine is from the Pommard block and is very tasty.
