Eleventh red wine at our annual DMV South African wine tasting. Deep and dark ruby red. Dirty cellar on the attack of the nose with dried meats, dark berries, spices and woody notes. Medium plus to heavy tannins (7.5/10) and full bodied. Love the complexity on the palate with a hint of spiciness as well as some dark sweet spices, rich cassis and burnt rubber. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2025.
