Medium ruby with a narrow garnet rim . Touch more dense , slightly high toned nose , deeper and darker, riper fruits , touch smoky , dark cherry , liquorice. On the palate this is quite dense and tannic , with balanced acidity . Darker , deeper fruits, with blackberry , red plum and dark cherry , liquorice hints . Good length with menthol hint . Needs time still another 3-4 years and will last well a further 5-10 years . A denser , meaty and darker style ,

a beautiful wine. floral, cherry, dark fruit and little nutty. gave it over an hour to open up and it paired perfectly with a garganelli pasta. #thanksgiving2014 (@Flatiron Wines)
