Mar 2nd, 2014This is a very forward and enticing darker berry fruit with fresh earth porcini mushroom and sage herb nuance. Very smooth and silky with nice freshness drinking very smooth but has balance and enough structure to go another 3-5 years more in the cellar. Excellent

Sep 13th, 2013This wine was the house wine of enoteque pinchiolli in Florence from 1990 through 1996 . The 1996 was the first commercial release. This is another outstanding vintage a host of fresh earth porcini and truffle notes to the dark cherry fruit black licorice very rich and evolving as it opens in the glass very complex. Big and chewy with a host of dark berry fruit fresh earth and dark truffle, black licorice and a long layered finish. Finish 50+ most excellent

Sep 13th, 2013This is a classic vintage and very well built with a solid core of dark cherry dark plum fruit with black earth espresso mocha and exotic floral nuance very complex bouquet. Very good structure on the palate still has tannins smoothing out but still quite youthful with layers of earth spice and lovely nuance from the nose through the finish long and complex still youthful but starting to drink nicely. Finish 50+ most excellent

Sep 13th, 2013This wine is the same blend every year 80/20 Sangiovese and Malvasia nera. This traditional varietal is very difficult to cultivate it is a late harvester the last grape to be picked. They use all French oak new for the first three months then they transfer the wines to older barrels for the rest of the aging period. Dark cherry berry fruit with wild flowers dried meats and underbrush black truffle very complex bouquet of aromas. Silky smooth tannins with dark cherry fruit a host of dried floral and herbal notes through the finish drinking very nicely right now. Finish 40+ excellent+
