This Brunello is a little lighter than most others I have tried, but it was spectacular and just hitting its prime. Aged for 3 years on Slavonian oak, deep Ruby with rich aromas of ripe fruits and sweet spice. On the palate, cherry and blackberry fruit with complex spice, cinnamon, tobacco and cacao. Lively acidity with smooth tannins, almost creamy, and oak notes take this wine to a lingering finish. Still can last another decade.

Oct 24th, 201410 years old but might as well have been bottled yesterday. Still pretty tight, tannic, and oak-forward. Nose is leather and sawdust. Black tea, baker’s chocolate, and underripe black berries on the palate. I’m saving half the bottle to try tomorrow to see how it softens.

Apr 5th, 2018First sniff was warm, caramel and brandy. Smooth and wonderful. Wish I could afford it rather than just a taste.

Feb 23rd, 2015Seemed pretty closed and reticent at present. Might give this a few years to come around. Hoping that the potential is there but a great value traditional producer.
