Could have used more age.

Decided to play lottery with this 2012 BARBERA D’ASTI I found in Jersey for less than $8 … And I won ! Sour cherry and fainted red fruit flavors complemented by some distant earthy overtones. Cork in perfect shape and contents as sharp as expected…. nothing particularly memorable but decent caldo overall.

V14. Violet and cedar nose. Fresh blackberry fruit. Mocha and slightly herbal and mineral finish. Simple but enjoyable. Nice burger or pizza wine.
