Quite popular meal finishing at Sicily - dessert wine made of dried Zibibbo grapes. Here we had one from Pantelleria island, province of Trapani.
Dense amber color, orange reflections.
Intense and persistent aroma of dried apricot, fig jam, dates in acacia honey, caramelized kumquat peels.
Warm, soft, nearly full-bodied palate. Harmonic. Sweet (no cloying). Dried fruits, honey, pinch of salty roasted almond. Spreading over dry persistent finish.
Paired with meringa alla cannella con mousse al cioccolato fondente.
