Lot of bang for the buck here. Nose is super fresh. Great notes of straw, greengage plum, zesty apple, and — of course — flinty volcanic minerality. In the mouth it’s nicely balanced, soft on entry with acids sneaking up in the latter half of the palate. Dry and quite minerally.

This wine is straight-up campfire, pure smoke. Well-integrated with barrique. Could probably turn some Cali Chard drinkers onto this. Carricante, and I believe a bit of Grillo or Cataratto?
