Kudos for still being a drinkable 1971 plain old Nebbiolo. Not amazing, but very interesting to taste. Tobacco, leather, and a tiny spritz of sour cherry.

Nov 6th, 2015Uplifting nose, aetheric, airy, with light cherry, wilted flowers, dusty cupboard. A faint hint of moist earth, and some kirsch in the background. So fresh, so pure, so youthful!
Pure & full of energy on the palate, light yet with juicy, crunchy tannins. Amazing how firm they still are. There’s just enough filling in the tannin-acidity frame to avoid being too austere, making it poised, ascetic and really refined.
