Cantine Lanzavecchia
Cren dell' Ape Piemonte Cortese

Pale, near white yellow. Nose of lime peel, bicarbonate, and white flowers. Light-bodies palate gives citrus rind, white mineral, and lime (the rock and the fruit) wrapped in bracing acidity. A nice intro to the grape that makes Gavi (but do make sure the official stuff I on your list). Acidity that will cut through the richest of dishes, and a flavor profile that will compliment nearly all classic white wine foods. Drink now.

This was a really nice wine, food friendly and delicious. You’ve got a core of bright citrus, but around the edges you’ve got ripe stone fruit and red apple. Floral and mineral notes round out the picture. A nice obscure grape from a solid region.
