Porphyr Riserva Alto Adige - Südtirol Lagrein

Still fresh after 16 years. This Lagrein went well with pizza. Strong fruity flavor to start, followed by a tangy finish. Definitely not an elegant, sophisticated wine, but instead, intense and rustic in character. Expensive for what it is. I doubt this type of wine improves much with age after the first five years, but it will keep for a long time.
