Cantina Santadi
Grotta Rossa Carignano del Sulcis
Pinot like with cherry flavors but a bit bigger yet without big fruit or alcohol. Sounds like a non sequitur but it isn't.

Jan 30th, 2016Sweet plum on the nose blackberry on the palate. More acidic than most reds, and off-dry. Medium body. Low tannicity. Overall a decent wine, but fails to contain much excitement. Likely paired well with spaghetti.

Jan 18th, 2015Pale ruby in color, but a mix of red and purple fruit notes on the nose. Medium acid, soft tannin and a touch of spicy oak. Persistent and warm. For $12 this is an exceptional vino. Not much complexity, but flavorful and delightful.
