Strong tannins with notes of leather, tobacco, and dark cherries. Very dry. Amazing pairing for red meat.

Was fine. Went well with red sauce. Heavier than our norm but not as much as expected.

Probably my least favorite Nero d’Avola so far but very reasonably priced. Plus, the fennel seed finish added nice character to the ample red fruit. It tastes better than its alcohol heavy, shoe-polish aroma would lead you to think.
