Rocca Sveva Amarone della Valpolicella Corvina Blend

Good enough but lacks that slight edge of decadence I always think amarone ought to have...

I enjoyed it.

Rich, complex, full of fruit.

Lovely rich bold flavors.

The finish is too strong for me. And too spicy.

Solid red. Stands up well to a good steak. Don't know that I would carry it in my collection though. Slightly on the generic side.

Nice Amarone, even better when drunk with friends looking out on Lake Garda, oh and when bought for $40..

Transparent red, cherries and grape on the nose. Medium Body, lush dark berries, cherries, plum, and sweet raspberries, touch of spice with lush taste, soft and sweet tannin, pleasant finish.

The best of 5 amaroni tasted last night. A nice one but not extraordinary for an amorone that sells for $80.

2009 - Vintage - Very good but not quite as big as I expected. Has Classic Amarone nose and big earthy flavors.
