’Tis a sad day when one opens three bottles of 2010 supposedly good-quality Barbaresco, from two different storage sites, and all three have gone bad. The former greatness is discernible but the wines are undrinkable. Would love to hear from others who might have had similar experiences; all my other -10s from the three B’s in Italy are phenomenal and even youthful at a decade of aging.

premiatissimo in questa annata, etereo, ricco di fiori, legno di liquirizia, viola e rosa canina, buona beva nonostante i tannini vivi che devono assestarsi col tempo in bottiglia ma che accompagnano magnificamente un Blu della zona

What a joy to drink! Very youthful, multi-dimension wine, constantly changing in the glass, and finally giving its best with food.
