Derived from volcanic soil, this has zestiness, spice, vibrancy for days. Great with antipasti, especially raw fish. 70% gritty, funky, expressive Cabernet Franc and 30% round, inky Canaiolo. Some nice gamey, funky characteristics, tiger lilies, with good deep tobacco. Great pairing with salty, hard cheeses like pecorino.
