The first time I rated this it was at a cool room temperature. Now I poured it straight from the fridge and to my delight it suddenly had different notes coming out of the glass- cantaloupe and pineapple chief among them.

"Summer will end later and the warmth of the sun will remind us
that what the heart beats for is worth waiting for" says the fancy black and gold box of the Vendima Tardive (late harvest) Chardonnay. This stuff is legendary in Puglia- so I really had my hopes up and expected something like botrytis or something approaching passito but instead it's a pleasant, clean, mineral front, with mild butter tones chard. Good certainly. Great, yeah maybe, but regionally legendary because of the lack of quality of the few other Chardonnays I've tried in Puglia.
