Dark purple color with low viscosity; nose is full of lavender and mint, blackberries and anise, and some dust, oak and minerals; it is dry on the palate and quite light bodied, distinct tannins, and what lingers longest are candied cherry, minty, youthful sour notes. Quite elegant at a bargain price.

Smells of cherries, raspberries, strawberries... lots of red fruit, almost a candy smell. First flavors are plums, sour cherries followed by a soft sour taste that lingers before fading gently away. Nice bit of acid too. A really delicious wine! Wish I bought more.

Very light berry on the nose but smooth as silk on the tongue. Cool melted vanilla spice. Lovely.

Very light and buttery. Enjoyed it with a filet, demi glace, new potatoes w/bacon and asparagus. Its notes, however, got muffled by the rich, delicious meal, perhaps it would go well with a pork dish or even a hearty fish. An excellent wine for those that prefer white but want to be introduced to the red world.

So, the only thing I can compare it to is butter. Wow! Delicious!
