Dark ruby color with purple highlights. Aromas of ripe red fruit, wet soil and smoky oak. Flavors of concentrated red and black cherries/raspberries, blackberries, baker’s chocolate and savory spices. Very earthy (slightly sour) medium finish. Not much of a mid-palate. Moderate acidity and medium tannins. Full bodied, bone dry and very rustic. Improved with aeration. Sub-$20 price point.
