Cuvée Saint Paul Arbois Trousseau

Probably past its prime but this was still a treat to drink. Acid and structure were still there but fruit had mostly faded. Birth year wine for my wife 🙌🏻

Slightly over the hill...

Compelling very mature nose. Some fruit and tannin still, and bright in colour.

Showing its age, but nice tannins and high acid. Great cheese wine. Tart fruits and lots of crushed stone.

Fits experience with old Loire..

Not much more than brett. I could tolerate a glass or two. Sink got the rest.

Totally clear and bright. Light. Tart red fruit amid earthiness. 40 minutes in acid softened and fruit decayed.

Decanted for an hour and some pretty interesting dark fruit notes came out once it opened up!

Pale as a ghost, tart fruit, soft tannin, funky umami with air.
