Big surprise! Much better than I expected! First of all, it is a 2014, not 2013. Excellent right out of the bottle but a little bit of aeration and it really opens up into a beautiful red blend that still has enough tannins for another 2 or 3 years in the bottle and has smoothed out quite nicely. Full upfront fruit with good mouthfeel and lingering aftertaste on the tongue and throat. Almost begs for a big juicy steak or grilled pork loin or salmon. I expected it to be good but this wine is excellent!
