Pinot Noir is notoriously difficult to grow, which explains why you have to go to Burgundy in France if you want to be certain of a decent wine. Bravely, however, I decided to try this Romanian variant which didn't disappoint me - considering it was just £6 - yet wasn't quite a match even for the Swiss Pinot Noir I enjoyed recently.
