C.V.C Calluna Vineyards Cuvée Merlot Blend

An excellent young Bordeaux. Dense, firmly but not overwhelmingly tannic, dark fruited in old world proportions to hints of capsicum, pencil shavings and unobtrusive vanillin. 20-30s finish. Definite more St. Emiliana than soft Cali merlot. Should age well.

Nariz: cereza, mora, ciruela, cassis, vainilla

Boca: Seco, Tanino M+, Acidez M, Alcohol M+.

Hint of spice in the aroma and flavors of raspberries, dark cherries, pomegranate. Light and tight finish. Easy to drink

Just lovely - i may have opened this too soon though and probably could have scored higher if i had waited. Tastes of rock and dark cherries

Not bad at $30. Not great either.

Scoop this up, another year in the bottle will serve it well.
