Don't have much history with Nero d'Avola wines so I guess I was due. This was particularly good with a meaty pasta dish. Deep red color and berry flavor. Good from the get-go.

$8.09 WOW!! What a surprise this wine turned out to be! Not a huge Italian fan but this wine rocks! Smooth, full, soft tannins, not too much fruit. Will definitely be buying more.

Not a perfect Nero. But adequate. Hard to fault a 10-15 dollar wine for falling short, so I will be brief. Not enough acidity to make it utile for food. Muted bouquet. Plenty of fruit, and fair mouthfeel, got better with cheese, like the mice that ran after the farmer's wife. But still missing anything resembling a tail.

Simple red that paired well with a cigar. Smooth and balanced.

Great for the price. A little over mild with light body, but it goes well with a meal.

Dry and flavorful, earthy. No much of a finish.
