Apr 13th, 2019Light straw in color.
Oaky nose with vanilla, cedar, citrus, apples, pears, butter, spices and white pepper.
Full bodied and bold with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry and oaky on the palate with citrus, lemons, grapefruits, bitter herbs, spices, peppercorn, earth and vegetables.
Medium plus on the finish with bitter almonds and spices.
This is a nice Oaky chardonnay from California. Showing nice complexity and a nice mouthfeel. Good by itself or with food.
Although not my style, it is a good quality wine, and it is very enjoyable. I like it when that happens.
I paired it with a soft Goat cheese, a hard Cheddar, crackers and fresh berries.
14.1% alcohol by volume.
89 points.
