Let's welcome the weekend, with this gorgeous Cabernet Sauvignon.

Dark ruby in color (Very intense) with a short purplish rim.

Gorgeous nose. Fruity and spicy with blackberries, figs, cooked cherries, raisins, beef jerky, green pepper, Mediterranean spices, brandy, vanilla, cedar, licorice, wood, chocolate, coffee, smoke and black pepper.

Full bodied and elegant, with medium plus acidity and great legs.

Dry and fruity on the palate, with blackberries, blueberries, figs, tobacco, cooked plums, oak, licorice, dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla, cola, spices and black pepper.

Long finish with full, grainy tannins and peppercorn.

This is a Great Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. So enjoyable by itself. Reminds me a lot of Orin Swift or Michael David.

Drinking great now, but Needs 3 years in the bottle to get all that bell pepper out, and even become smoother.
I paired it with lamb chops.

15.6% ABV, but not really noticeable.

Rich and full throttle with ripe dark fruits, dark chocolate, anise, and high-tone alcohol. An hour decant helped to smooth out the rough tannins. A bit unbalanced.

2014 opened Feb 2018. Very tight right out of the bottle. Needs decanting!. Mint and leather on the nose. Puckery tannins on the front -- which loosen up as the wine breathes. No fruit, though -- but funky in a good way. I taste the limestone terroir. Mineral tannins all the way back to the swallow. This wine is not for the faint of heart. If you like smooth well-balanced Cabs, then this wine is not for you. If you like over-oaked Napa Cabs, then you probably won't like this. But if you're an oenophile geologist who loves the way soils are expressed in the grape, this wine is for you!

Interesting minerality, a little sharp. Satisfying but not mind blowing.

This is good but not my favorite. A lot of warm earth and mushrooms on the nose. The clove is very strong in the mouth but gives way to a very dry finish.
