Totally Rhone Roussanne from Texas. Benjamin Calais is a terrific winemaker who brings the French style to TX and produced a very nice 100% Roussanne. "Roux" in color with notes of pear and honey. Moderately acidic with a crisp finish. Give Calais a try if you're in the Texas Hill Country.

Bought this one September 2015. Style of this wine was definitely on the over-oxidized side from the start. A "different" Roussanne and I think that it was easily a 9.4 type of wine at the start given that it STILL has an incredible amount of weight. This bottle tonight has seen full oxidation. Movie butter, but honestly this one almost seemed to take on a sweeter honeysuckle side...but was just a little too tart to be palatable. IMO this bottle should have been consumed probably a year ago.
