Dark purple bordering on inky, aromas of sweet tobacco, dark chocolate, red fruit, wet earth and Forrest floor. Full bodied, soft tannins and bright acidity. Red plums, red currants, coffee, sage, five spice powder and mint mingle on the palate. The finish is long and laced with oak, vanilla and nutmeg.

For a 2005 Tannins are still very present. Dark fruit still persists will flavors of black cherries and black berries. Scents of cassis envelope the nose that fade into a subtle nose of cardamom. Drank on 16 March 2018.

Nice but nearing its end. Very tannic but settled down after three hours of decanting. Blackberry, red cherries, and cassis. More restrained than most other Cains I have had.

Work with my cousin in wine section at our family Grocery store. It's been sitting in our wine room for a while gave it to me to taste if it was turned. Got a beautiful 9 year old bottle that was perfect loved every drop!!!

One of the best wines I've ever had. That's not just the wine talking.
